WEST HAVEN, CT – Enthone Inc. has named Pat Creque sales manager of the US Eastern region. He will be responsible for overseeing and expanding sales of the full line of surface finishing and electronic chemical products throughout the East.
 
Creque brings over three decades of experience in sales management and marketing. Prior to joining Enthone, he worked for companies including Novamax, Houghton and Henkel. He has also served on several industry association committees and boards, such as the AESF and the American Architectural Manufacturers Association.

HERRENBERG, GERMANY – The New Year is looking good for HMS Höllmüller. The company will supply eight machines from its ComTech series to CIREP, the French circuit board manufacturer. This is the largest European order so far for 2009, according to Joe Kresky, managing director of Höllmüller.
 
Delivery is planned for early March with a quick production start-up.

CHICAGO – Electronic Interconnect Technology Inc. (EI) introduces a wide range of SMT PCB design and manufacturing services.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Although February should be a brighter month for makers of handset PCBs, they should prepare for first-quarter losses, according to DigiTimes.
 
A 5% to 10% sales growth is expected for the month, but utilization rates will only average 50% for the first quarter. Sales are forecasted to drop over 50%, reports DigiTimes.
 
Orders have slightly increased for Compeq Manufacturing, Unitech Printed Circuit Board and Unimicron Technology, but shipments are still expected to be lower than 2008 figures. Compeq should see an 11% decline in shipments to 160 million units, according to DigiTimes.
