TAIPEI, TAIWAN – 2009 is starting out well for many PCB material suppliers. Sales grew in January, while product prices started to stabilize and demand showed signs of recovering, reported DigiTimes.

Fulltech Fiber Glass reported sales shot up 62.85% from December to $3.94 million. Consolidated sales for Glotech Industrial climbed a staggering 96.4% to $1.5 million, according to DigiTimes. Baoteck Industrial Materials reported January sales increased 68.88% from December to $294 thousand.
 
In January, Taiwan Glass Industrial (TGI) decreased its output of glass yard and glass fabrics by almost 50% compared to the fourth quarter of 2008. The company’s actions helped to stabilize prices, reported DigiTimes. Since the beginning of February, prices have not changed.
 
According to DigiTimes, glass fabric makers are expecting better numbers for February, with order visibility continuing through March.
