ORANGE, CA – Marcel Electronics Inc. (MEI) has successfully integrated Excellon Automation’s 129 Intelli-Drill with the Gemini-X Linear Plus software from XACT PCB. MEI is a manufacturer of quick-turn, advanced technology PCBs.

The Intelli-Drill uses a vision inspection system to examine the inner layers of PCBs, modify files and give detailed registration data. The Gemini-X analyses this data and creates a database of material reactions during specific fabrication processes.

By integrating the two, MEI is able to inspect panels immediately after lamination and identify stretch/shrink, shift and rotation for the lot, each panel or individual layers. The XACT software processes this data for use by front-end engineers to predict scale factors. According to Excellon, production yields and throughput are improved while cutting process-engineering time.
COSTA MESA, CA--Stablcor Incorporated announced that it has signed a new licensing agreement with France-based Elvia PCB Group covering the use of the Stablcor laminate based thermal management technology.
The Elvia PCB Group manufactures circuit boards for the industrial, telecom, defense, aerospace and medical industries. The Elvia PCB Group is a top 10 supplier of PCBs in Europe with 500 employees and sales of approximately €50 million ($67.7 million). In early 2009, Elvia opened a new manufacturing facility in Monastir, Tunisia.

Elvia's technical manager Patrick Prive said, “Our initiative with the STABLCOR innovative thermal management and improved CTE materials will provide our customers with additional tools to defend their competitive advantage.”
