WALLINGFORD, CT – Amphenol Corp. reported third-quarter sales fell 17% from last year to $716.6 million.

For the quarter ended September 30, net income was $83.4 million, compared to $116.5 million last year. Despite the drops, results still exceeded guidance.

The book-to-bill ratio was 1.04:1, the first positive ratio in almost a year.

The company believes it has seen demand stabilize, with increases reported in some markets, according to R. Adam Norwitt, president and CEO. Fourth-quarter revenues are forecast between $720 million and $735 million.
