TAIPEI – United Microelectronics Corp., the second-largest contract chipmaker globally, reported September sales hit a two-year high. Revenue climbed 18% from last year to reach NT$9.5 billion (US$296 million).

TAIPEI – Nan Ya reported September sales increased 3.16% sequentially to NT$2.7 billion (US$83 million).

BEAVERTON, OR – Merix Corp. reported first-quarter sales for fiscal 2010 down 36% from last year to $57.8 million. Sales slipped just 2% sequentially.
