NORTHFIELD, MN – All Flex, a flex circuits and flex circuit assembly manufacturer, has entered into a sales partnership with Quicktronics, effective this month.
 
Under the agreement, Quicktronics will oversee distribution and service obligations for Central, Southern and Eastern Europe, as well as Scandinavia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
PORTLAND, OR – Electro Scientific Industries Inc. (ESI) reported first-quarter sales climbed 25% sequentially to $22.6 million, compared to $18.1 million last quarter.

ST. PAUL, MN – 3M Corp. reported second-quarter net income dropped 17% from last year to $783 million on a decrease in demand from the manufacturing and transportation markets.
 
Revenue for the quarter fell 15% to $5.7 billion.
 
In April, the company offered early retirement to 3,600 nonunion employees. It also laid off 1,200 workers during the first quarter.

SJ Associates will be responsible for developing and servicing DDi accounts in New Jersey and Long Island, NY. The company has over 50 years of industry experience and includes sales engineers and inside support personnel.
 
CP Sales, which includes Chris Grieves and Ben Quinn, will focus on developing and servicing accounts in Northern California. The company brings over 30 years of experience supporting manufacturers in the region, primarily in Silicon Valley.
PFULLINGEN, GERMANY – What comes around, goes around, at least for Ruwel. Former owner Bernd Zevens has submitted an offer to take over the company's Pfullingen plant beginning September 1. Details of the offer have not been released.
