FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMAS and CARSON CITY, NV – DMR Ltd. has entered a fabrication partnership with Taiyo America.
 
Under the agreement, Carson City–based Taiyo will be the exclusive manufacturer of The Silver Bullet PEC line of printed electronic inks used in interconnect devices.

DMR is an advanced technology provider, working in R&D of very high technology fine line micro circuits and HDI. Taiyo supplies solder mask and inks for rigid and flexible PCBs and packaging substrates.
SINGAPORE – It has been reported that Flextronics International has received OEM orders for a 15.6-inch consumer notebook from Hewlett-Packard, according to DigiTimes.
 
Production is planned for the end of the second quarter 2010, with an initial monthly volume of 50,000 to 60,000 units, says DigiTimes.
 
The company has also started production on a 12.1-inch AMD-based notebook for HP, with plans to begin work on a 13.3-inch notebook in August. Flextronics reported first-quarter notebook shipments to HP at nearly 70,000 to 80,000 units, with almost 200,000 units shipped in the second quarter.
ANAHEIM, CA – Cartel Electronics, a quick turn PCB manufacturer, has named Connie Herring regional sales manager. She will be responsible for sales and marketing activities for the Western US, including key accounts management, CM strategy, new business development and recruiting.
 
Herring brings over 13 years of experience in OEM sales and business development. Prior to joining Cartel, she was the president of Integrity International, and she has held senior sales management positions with Dynamic Details and Herco Technology.
ANAHEIM, CA – DDi Corp. reported second-quarter net sales fell 27% from last year and 5% sequentially to $37.2 million. Year to date, net sales are down 22% to $76.5 million, compared to $98.5 million in 2008.

SANTA ANA, CA – TTM Technologies Inc. reported second-quarter net sales slipped 3% sequentially to $144.5 million, while dropping 16% from last year.
 
For the quarter ended June 29, net income rose 3% from $1.4 million last month to $5.9 million, but fell 35% year-over-year.
 
Non-GAAP net income increased sequentially to $8.3 million, but was down 25% year-over-year.
 
Operating income was $12.2 million for the quarter, compared to $5.0 million last quarter and $19 million last year. Adjusted EBITDA, excluding charges, was $18.3 million, compared to $11.1 million last quarter and $24.5 million in 2008. 
 
Third-quarter revenue is forecast between $134 million to $142 million.
TAOYUAN, TAIWAN – Unimicron Technology Corp. reported second-quarter net profit of NT$1.05 billion (US$32 million) compared to a net loss of NT$15 million (US$460,000) last quarter.
