ROGERS, CT -- Rogers today announced third-quarter revenue at its Printed Circuit Materials unit rose 8.5% year-over-year to $47.1 million. The laminates division came close to its all-time record for net sales, driven by strong demand in global 4G – LTE base station deployments, automotive radar applications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), as well as in mobile internet device applications, offset in part by weaker demand for satellite TV equipment.

SAN JOSE -- Sanmina believes profitability at its printed circuit board fabrication segment can significantly improve, the company's CEO said last night. Of the EMS company's five factories, four are currently in the black and the division is turning an operating profit, noted chief executive Jure Sola on a conference call with analysts.

ANAHEIM, CA -- Viasystems Group today announced the opening of a North American PCB Technology and Manufacturing Center here, a facility that replaces and upgrades the company's multi-building leased location. The printed circuit board manufacturer has its production plants in China, but uses the US as a base for quickturn programs and flex circuits. It has board shops sites in nine cities across North America.
