LEOBEN, AUSTRIA – AT&S reported fiscal 2014 sales of EUR 590 million, up about 9% year-over-year. The fabricator saw higher demand in both its handheld devices and industrial and automotive segments.
EBITDA was EUR 127 million, an increase of about 24% compared to fiscal 2013.
"Capacity utilization in our core business is currently very high. I am optimistic that the strong positioning of our core business means that we are ideally positioned to benefit from the trends that require high-tech applications such as wearables, the increasing number of automotive electronics and the Internet of Things. And I am certain that we are well prepared for the next significant phase of growth with our strategic focus on the new IC substrates business at our plant in Chongqing," said CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer.
Mobile Devices' sales for the year were EUR 321 million, an increase of about 8% compared to the previous year.
Industrial and Automotive's sales reached EUR 265 million, an increase of about 9%. Automotive reported a record year driven by sales of high-value printed circuit boards for energy efficiency, safety, infotainment and entertainment applications.
