The official production version of SoloPCB Design Software v. 1.1 is available. Based on input from beta software users, more than 200 updates were made, including defect corrections and functionality changes. Is free and pre-loaded with PCB manufacturers’ rules. Contains manufacturers’ pricing structure so PCBs can be ordered automatically through the software. SoloPCB beta pilot users can upgrade to the official release automatically. All design files and libraries created in the beta pilot version are forward compatible with SoloPCB V1.1. SoloPCB for Mass Design is now available.

AltiumLive now includes component libraries for board-level designs using Maxim Integrated devices. The release delivers board-level component models and supply chain information, such as real-time price and availability data from distributors. A component model includes schematic symbol, PCB footprint and a 3D model for 3D mechanical integration during the PCB design process. More than 3,000 new Maxim components have been released; the catalog includes more than 5,500 devices. Featured components include digital potentiometers; sensors; current-sense amplifiers, and switched capacitor filters. Total number of components available is more than 125,000.
