MILWAUKEE – RBP Chemical Technology Inc. named Robert Coleman managing director in Asia. He will oversee manufacturing and sales activities of the company’s chemical blending plant near Mumbai. He will also coordinate relationships between the company and its manufacturing and distribution partners in Asia.

Coleman brings over 25 years of experience in the PCB industry. Prior to joining RBP in 2003, he held technical sales and management positions with MacDermid, Hamlet & Smith and National Technology.

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – Matrix USA Inc. has added Panasonic’s R1755V High-Tg material to its laminate product line.

The lead-free, FR-4 epoxy is designed to support network equipment, measuring instruments and automotive components. Matrix is planning to make R1755V its primary FR-4 offering for North America, providing sales support, full stocking and technical assistance.

TAIPEI -- Glass fabric prices in China have risen 13% in the past month, and are stabilizing in Taiwan, according to published sources.

Copper foil prices rose 5% in January and could remain flat this month, DigiTimes reported today, quoting undisclosed market sources.

Glass fabric is now $0.68 per meter in China, while pricing in Taiwan has bottomed, DigiTimes said.

Copper-clad laminate pricing has also evened out, DigiTimes said, based on reports from Taiwan Union Technology (TUC), Hwa Woei Laminate and Uniplus Electronics.

WEST HAVEN, CT – Enthone has promoted Gary Sutcliffe to manager of corporate technical services-Enthone Americas.

He will oversee the company’s corporate technical services group, the Enthone West Haven quality control function and the Enthone Americas Plating Academy.

Sutcliffe has been with Enthone for over 30 years, holding several key management positions in research and development, sales and technical services. He is also a Six Sigma Master Black Belt for Enthone Americas.
