ZHANGJIAGANG, CHINADow Electronic Materials plans to expand its material manufacturing facility here to meet demands from Asia’s PCB, electronics and industrial finishing, and photovoltaic markets.

Construction is expected to start before 2011, and the firm expects to start production late next year. The company did not disclose the size of the planned addition.

The plant will supply customers in Northern and Eastern China.

Dow Electronic Materials is a business unit of Dow Chemical Co.

SAN JOSE -- Sanmina-SCI swung to a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $31 million on higher demand for communications and industrial products. The contract assembler lost $33 million a year ago.
