KEDAH, MALAYSIA -- GUH Holdings is buying up land here in anticipation of future printed circuit board expansion.

GUH is looking at sites in the Klang Valley, Penang island and Seberang Prai, according to reports. The company, which has PCB operations in Penang and Suzhou, is considering buying as much as 2,000 hectacres for future production sites.

Managing director Datuk Kenneth H'ng Bak Tee also indicated the fabricator would focus on building its customer base in Japan, Europe and the US. "We are moving away from Taiwanese and Chinese clients who are generally known for their low pricing and being bad paymasters," he is quoted as saying.
