TORONTO – Firan Technology Group reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $915,000, compared to a net loss of $2.09 million in the same period of 2010.
December quarter sales were $14 million, down 0.5% year-over-year.
For the year ended Dec. 31, the printed circuit board fabricator firm's sales grew 9% over 2010 to $53.7 million. Net earnings were nearly $1.5 million, compared to a net loss of $2.9 million in the prior year.
Circuit board sales were up $3.4 million, or 9%, to about $41 million in 2011. PCB net earnings were $2.3 million for the year, compared to a loss of $1.5 million in 2010.
Aerospace segment sales were up 10% to $12.1 million year-over-year, while net earnings were $1.1 million in 2011, versus $1 million in 2010.
During the year, the company invested in a new facility in Tianjin, China, for its cockpit product business.
