TAIPEI -- Apple reportedly has chosen three fabricators to develop printed circuit boards for its second generation iPad.
Apple has settled on Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM Technologies for the first stage of boards, according to a DigiTimes report. The fabricators will supply any-layer HDI boards for the so-called "iPad 2," similar to the type of boards used in the iPhone, 4G iPod touch and iPad.

Four additional fabricators would be added in February as shipments ramp, the report stated.
