ESPOO, FINLAND -- Aspocomp swung to a net profit of 1 million euros for its first half as the printed circuit fabricator rebounded from a painful decline.

 

The company had a net loss of 1.4 million euros in the year-ago first-half.

The PCB fabricator reported net sales of 9.8 million euros, up 59% from 6.2 million euros last year, on strong telecom sales. EBITDA was 2.2 million euros, and operating income was 1.6 million euros. Cash flow from operations during the period was 2.5 million euros.

Second-quarter net sales were 5.4 million euros, up 90% year-over-year. The operating income was 1.2 million euros, up from a loss of 900,000 euros. The net income was 900,000 euros.

The firm said it expects net sales will increase significantly this year and it will turn a profit for 2010.
