Agilent Technologies announced the availability of a transceiver model library, developed with Altera Corp., for use with their EDA software. The company reports that the library reduces development costs and increases productivity for multi-GHz PCB and backplane signal integrity design and analysis.

"With this new Stratix II GX FPGA transceiver library, our mutual customers can take advantage of the most advanced simulation technology available for faster and more accurate high-speed serial link design." said Joe Civello, Agilent marketing manager.

"Our collaboration with Agilent…enables designers to accurately and quickly perform an analog simulation of the transceiver signal integrity," said David Greenfield, director of product marketing at Altera.
