Release 2018 for CAM350, BluePrint-PCB, and DFMStream delivers 3D technology for PCB post-processing, including manufacturing data visualization, stack-up definition, PCB panel visualization and support for 3-D PCB documentation.
Includes 3-D manufacturing data visualization: allows modeling of imported Gerber, drill, ODB++, or IPC-2581 data into a 3-D PCB facsimile, as well as model 3-D PCB on a fabrication or assembly panel. Quickly switches between 2-D and 3-D views using 3D Design View port. Has new 2-D/3-D PCB stack-up visualizer. Uses 3-D PCB model in documents to clarify design intent or augment traditional 2-D documents. Users can export 3-D model or 3-D document in Adobe PDF format. Creates integrated 2-D/3-D manufacturing data preparation environment. Models unintelligent PCB manufacturing files to create virtual model of finished PCB component, including various PCB construction materials. 3-D visualization supports features specific to PCB technology. Features such as modeling colors by layer types permits PCB to be rendered more realistically. Supports ability to spread and peel PCB layers. 3-D View Port supports all camera and zoom level controls. Can adjust component, layer, and net visibility. The 3-D View Port in CAM350 and DFMStream also displays PCB net/pin labels, as well as error markers resulting from analysis operations. Can visualize PCB stack-ups in tablature, 2-D cross-section, or 3-D model, including construction materials and via/drilling technologies. Adds 3-D PCB views and interactive document elements to 2D fabrication and assembly drawings. Exports 3-D objects into PDF.
