Flux has launched its AI Design Agent, an advanced automation tool that transforms text prompts into complete printed circuit board designs. The browser-based system interprets natural language instructions, plans multi-step workflow, and automatically handles schematic generation, component sourcing, net connections, and board routing. Built on specialized machine-learning models trained on hundreds of thousands of layouts, the AI Design Agent can evaluate constraints, validate designs against engineering rules, and iteratively refine results. Users can also teach the system preferences for future projects, while its multi-board orchestration capabilities enable parallel design execution. Fully integrated into Flux’s collaborative eCAD platform.

Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the BCcomponents SMDY1 Automotive Series, the industry’s first Automotive Grade AC line-rated ceramic disc safety capacitors with a Y1 rating in a surface-mount package. Rated at 500 VAC and 1500 VDC with capacitance values up to 4.7 nF, the series is designed for next-generation electric and hybrid vehicle applications. These capacitors target EMI and RFI suppression in demanding, high-humidity environments such as on-board chargers, traction inverters, battery management systems, e-compressors and AC/DC converters. Qualified to AEC-Q200 with PPAP support, the devices meet Class IIB humidity standards under IEC60384-14 and pass the rigorous 85/85/1000h test for reliability.

Blueshift's PhaseBlue 1500 is the first product in its new Series Circuit Materials line. Engineered with a proprietary nanoporous polyimide aerogel core made of 85% air and 15% polyimide, the laminates combine lightweight flexibility with high-frequency performance for next-generation PCB applications. Designed as a US-made, environmentally compliant alternative to PTFE-based substrates, formulated without intentionally added PFAS. It delivers a dielectric constant of 1.3–1.5 at 1 GHz and an ultra-low dissipation factor below 0.001 at 1 GHz, while maintaining stable performance across 1–10 GHz without the dielectric knee common to conventional perfluorinated systems.
