HAMPSTEAD, NHP.D. Circuits Inc. has received a grant for $10,524 to be used toward Lean Processing training. 

The grant was awarded by the New Hampshire Job Training Fund.

Training will include the principles of Lean Processing, value stream mapping systems and Kaizen event implementation. 

The initial phase of the firm’s formal Lean implementation program is expected to cost $20,000.

BEAVERTON, ORMerix’s shareholders voted today to approve its previously announced merger with Viasystems Group.

After completion of the merger, Merix will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Viasystems. The merger remains subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the next few days.

The combined organization will provide services and technology for both quick-turn prototyping and high-volume PCB manufacturing in Asia and North America.
