EINDHOVEN, NETHERLANDS – An estimated 1.2 metric tons of printed circuit boards end up in the total amount of annual e-waste, but only a third is recycled in environmentally sound facilities. This means that around 800 million kilograms may be traded, recycled in a non-compliant and polluting manner or may end up in a landfill.
