AYASE CITY, JAPAN -- Meiko Electronics reportedly will invest 38 billion yen (about $437 million) over the next three years to expand production in China and Vietnam.

CHARLOTTE, NCCamstar Systems Inc. has acquired software firm SigmaQuest for an undisclosed amount.

Camstar expects the acquisition to increase revenue 30% in 2011.

The firm will merge SigmaQuest’s products with its software line by the end of 2010.

SigmaQuest’s staff in Sunnyvale, CA will move to Camstar’s office in San Jose.

Camstar produces software for solar manufacturing, medical devices, biotech, electronics and semiconductors. SigmaQuest’s software supports solar, electronics and medical-device industries, as well as aerospace, defense and telecom.
