SINGAPORE -- FCI Microconnections has opened a 234,000 sq. ft. flex circuit manufacturing facility here, its third in Singapore.

The company, a division of connector manufacturer FCI, makes flexible printed circuit boards for smart cards.

FCI had sales of about $1.3 billion in 2009, of which its flex circuit group made up 16% ($208 million).
