ANAHEIM, CA -- Viasystems Group today announced the opening of a North American PCB Technology and Manufacturing Center here, a facility that replaces and upgrades the company's multi-building leased location. The printed circuit board manufacturer has its production plants in China, but uses the US as a base for quickturn programs and flex circuits. It has board shops sites in nine cities across North America.

ST. PAUL, MN -- 3M today reported third-quarter sales at its Electronics and Energy business unit grew 3.8% in the September quarter. Sales for the unit reached $1.4 billion for the period, as increases in the Asia Pacific, Latin America/Canada and EMEA regions offset a decline in the US.

MIDLAND, MI -- Dow Chemical reported sales at its Electronic and Functional Materials unit rose 6% over last year. EBITDA at the unit, which makes materials for printed circuit boards and other end-products, was up 5% for the period ended Sept. 30.

TAIPEI – Backup printed circuit board maker Aurona Industries reported September revenues up 4% year-over-year to $3.85 million, nearly a four-year high.
Revenues for the month were up 6.2% sequentially.
