ATLANTA – The electronic component sales sentiment climbed to 90.6 in February, according to the Electronic Components Industry Association's latest Electronic Component Sales Trends survey, beating expectations for the month and continuing an upward trend that began in December.

WASHINGTON – Global semiconductor industry sales totaled $41.3 billion during the month of January 2023, a decrease of 5.2% compared to the December 2022 total of $43.6 billion and 18.5% less than the January 2022 total of $50.7 billion, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The worldwide hardcopy peripherals market saw overall shipments grow 11.6% year over year to nearly 25.0 million units in the fourth quarter. Shipment value during the quarter increased 14.8% to $11.1 billion, according to the International Data Corporation's Worldwide Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker.

NEEDHAM, MA – Desktop and mobile workstation shipments shrank 22.2% in the fourth quarter compared to a year ago as IT device spending slowed amidst economic concerns and fulfillment of backlogged orders, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Workstation Tracker.

TAIPEI – Global DRAM revenue fell by 32.5% quarter-over-quarter to $12.28 billion, per TrendForce research. The fourth-quarter decline is larger than the QoQ decline of 28.8% for the third quarter and comes close to the QoQ decline of 36% for the final quarter of 2008, when the global economy was in the midst of a major financial crisis.
