SAN JOSE — Worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment orders rose 4% year-over-year to $9.32 billion in the third quarter, SEMI said.
Orders were down 6% from the second quarter, the trade group added.
Billings reached $8.82 billion in the quarter, down 8% sequentially and up 15% from a year ago.
The data are gathered jointly by SEMI and the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ) from over 100 global equipment companies.
