LOS ALTOS, CA – US medical electronics production slowed to 4.8% growth in 2009, down from 7% the year before, a leading analyst said.

But, says, Ed Henderson of Henderson Ventures, the economic recovery, expanded US healthcare coverage and new portable technologies offer an upbeat prognosis for the sector’s future health.

The firm expects growth of 9.2% this year, to $35 billion, followed by 9.7% in 2011.
