TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Copper foil makers in Taiwan expect prices to increase 2% to 3% in August as the average price of copper continues to set records, reports DigiTimes.
The average copper price for July climbed 10% sequentially to $5,500 per ton, while copper foil prices were up 2.5%, says DigiTimes.
Copper foil makers are looking to raise prices in August as demand continues to increase, according to DigiTimes.
Co-Tech forecast shipment volume for July to be down slightly to around 1,110 tons, compared to 1,150 tons in June. The company expects August orders to improve.
Taiwan Union Technology (TUC) predicts third-quarter shipments to increase sequentially. DigiTimes reports that the company’s third-quarter consolidated revenues will climb 40% to $51.9 million to $54.9 million.
