ARLINGTON, VA – Electronic component orders bounced back in December
after two sub-par months, the Electronic Components Association said
today. The trade group forecasts 2008 will see similar results.
The 12-month average lifted slightly, ending a year that looked much like 2006, ECA says.
“Despite rising oil prices, market fluctuations, and the
mortgage-lending crisis, the electronic components industry steered a
pretty steady course in 2007,” says Bob Willis. “Growth was small, but
fairly consistent, just as it was in 2006. The picture looks about the
same for 2008.”
