MILPITAS, CA – First quarter global semiconductor equipment billings increased 51% year-over-year and 21% sequentially to $23.6 billion, SEMI said.
By region, China saw year-over-year increases of 70%, while North America's billings were down 30%. Korea's billings were up 118% compared to the first quarter of 2020; Taiwan's were up 42%; Japan's billings were down 1%; Europe saw decreases of 9%; and the rest of the world experienced increases of 130%.
