FRANKFURT, GERMANY -- Germany region printed circuit board manufacturers reported falling orders in September versus a year ago.
Sales at board fabricators in Germany, Austria and Switzerland were down 0.6% from a year ago, and down 0.8% year-over-year, according to the ZVEI-Fachverband PCB and Electronic Systems trade group.
Orders declined 28% compared to August, and were down 14% year-over-year, ZVEI said.
Year to date orders were up 1.6% through September versus 2015.
The book-to-bill ratio fell 35 basis points to 0.82, its lowest level since October 2014.
The number of employees working at DACH region shops remained stable in September, up 0.2% from August and up 0.7% from last year.
