LONDON -- The global market for electronic design automation software for PCBs and MCMs is expected to grow at a slow but steady pace through 2020, a new report says.
According to the latest market study released by Technavio, design software segment will grow at a 3% CAGR during the forecast period.
Geographically, the Americas held the largest share in the global EDA for printed circuit boards and multichip modules in 2015, with the largest contribution coming from the US, the researchers say.
“In North America, a maximum number of electronics companies hire PCB designers, which increases the demand for PCB and MCM design tools. The software boom in the Silicon Valley, along with the abundant availability of angel investors, has resulted in the growth of numerous companies,” says Navin Rajendra of Technavio.
