TOKYO -- Nippon Mektron, the world's third largest printed circuit board fabricator, said it has resumed certain operations at its plant in the Bangpa-in Industrial Estate outside Bangkok. The site had been shut down since Oct. 12 due to the widespread flooding within Ayutthaya Province.

Mektron operates two subsidiaries in Ayutthaya Province, including Mektec Manufacturing, which fabricates and assembles flex circuits.

Production has been resumed, the company said, and a complete recovery is planned by March 2012.

The company's NOK Precision Component division, which manufactures mobile phone parts, remains offline. Mektron said a February 2012 target has been set to resume production, with complete recovery by April.
