TAIPEI -- Hon Hai (Foxconn Electronics) reported nonconsolidated revenues fell 12.5% year-over-year in September to NT$221.8 billion ($7.45 billion).

Sales rose 3.4% sequentially, the EMS/ODM company said, on higher demand for consumer electronics. Demand for PC and communication products were flat.

Year-to-date sales are up 16.3% through September to NT$1.85 trillion ($61.2 billion). Analysts expect the firm's revenues to get a strong bounce from the release of the Apple iPhone 4S this fall.

Foxconn is the world's largest contract electronics manufacturing services company and the eighth largest printed circuit board fabricator. It also ranks in the top 10 in connector manufacture.
