SAN JOSE, CA – Shocking Technologies said it has raised $15.2 million, with backers including Littelfuse, Arch Ventures, ATA Ventures, Balch Hill Capital, Skylake Incuvest, Vista Ventures, and a number of private investors.
The firm will use the additional capital to build capacity and infrastructure to meet global demand for its voltage switchable dielectric solution, implemented through its XStatic material.
XStatic is a polymer nano-composite that functions as an insulator (dielectric) during normal circuit operation and becomes conductive when the voltage increases beyond a predefined threshold.
