FRANKFURT -- February orders at German printed circuit board fabricators fell 13% year-over-year, a local trade group says.
Sales rose rose 20.1% year-on-year and 1.1% sequentially, ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems reported.
Orders dropped 6.5% sequentially, ZVEI said. 2010 was a banner year for German PCB fabricators, and 2011's results reflect more normal order patterns the trade group said.
The monthly book-to-bill ratio was 0.92 down 350 basis points from a year ago and 70 basis points from January.
Industry employment rose 10% from last year and 1.1% sequentially. Germany's PCB sector now employs 3.2% fewer people than at its peak.
