TAIPEI, TAIWAN – May revenues were down for Taiwan copper-clad laminate makers, reports DigiTimes. June numbers are forecast to drop further as customers begin seasonal inventory adjustments.

Although copper prices are up 10% from May, CCL makers are hesitant to raise prices because of the weak demand, says DigiTimes.

Elite Material reported May consolidated revenues fell 12% to NT$734 million (US$22.33 million) on a drop in rush orders and the appreciation of Taiwan’s currency.

Taiwan Union Technology expects May revenue to fall 10%, with another 10% drop for June.
