SUZHOU, CHINA -- A judge, for the International Trade Commission (ITC) investigation initiated by Isola USA, has granted a motion to terminate Ventec Electronics from the investigation.

This motion was jointly filed by Ventec and Isola. The full commission is expected to formally terminate Ventec from the investigation. The early termination clears the way for Ventec to import its current product offerings.

The two Isola patents in question, U.S. Patent Nos.6,187,852 and 6,322,885, call for the presence of talc. Ventec's products VT-48 and VT-48 do not contain talc. Based on this information, Isola agreed to join Ventec in asking the ITC to terminate the investigation with respect to Ventec.

Chris Lung, CEO of Ventec, stated: "Ventec prides itself on developing and manufacturing state of the art laminates and prepregs while respecting the intellectual property rights of others."
