THAILAND – A global HDI printed circuit board manufacturer has launched its first production facility in Thailand, marking a significant foreign direct investment into the country’s electronics manufacturing sector.

The new facility is located at S Ang Thong Industrial Estate and spans more than 56 rai (approximately 8.4 hectares). The site will serve as a production base for high-density interconnect printed circuit boards destined for export markets worldwide, reinforcing Thailand’s position within the global PCB supply chain.

The project reflects growing international confidence in Thailand as a strategic hub for advanced electronics manufacturing. The country is currently the largest PCB manufacturing base in ASEAN and ranks fifth globally, supported by established infrastructure, skilled labor, and export-oriented industrial policies.

Executives involved in the project characterized the investment as a long-term commitment to sustainable industrial growth, emphasizing its role in strengthening the domestic technology ecosystem, expanding high-value production capacity, and supporting Thailand’s competitiveness in global electronics manufacturing.

The industrial estate hosting the facility offers high-reliability infrastructure designed for power-intensive manufacturing, including multiple combined-cycle power plants exceeding 400 megawatts of total capacity, dual 22kV and 115kV power systems, and high-quality water supplied through ultrafiltration systems capable of producing up to 10,000 cubic meters per day.
