SCHOPFHEIM, GERMANY – Würth Elektronik is laying off up to 100 staff here as orders slowed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to reports.

Some 70 to 100 jobs are at risk. Employees were informed July 8.

The PCB division of Würth Elektronik reportedly lacks the orders to fully utilize its manufacturing plant.

Customers affected by the pandemic include those in aviation and automotive.
