TAIPEI -- Nanya Printed Circuit Board reported revenue grew 8.2% year-over-year to NT$28.8 billion ($933.7 million) in 2018.

The board fabricator, ranked in the top 20 worldwide according to N.T. Information, cut its net loss to NT$584 million ($18.9 million), down from about NT$2 billion a year ago.

Gross margin for the year rose 236 basis points to 1.21%.

Nan Ya credited improved product mix and manufacturing efficiency for the improved financial numbers. The company is moving away from making boards for PCs and into higher margin products.
