YAVNE, ISRAEL – Orbotech reported second quarter printed circuit board revenues of $72.6 million, including $43.8 million in equipment sales, up 11% year-over-year.

Total company revenues for the quarter were $196 million, up 3.7% year-over-year and 2.9% sequentially.

The firm posted GAAP net income of $13.3 million for the period, nearly flat with the second quarter of 2015.

"During the second quarter we introduced several new cutting-edge products in our three major divisions, which we believe will not only improve our competitive position but will also create further growth opportunities and increase our total available market,” said CEO Asher Levy.

In the company’s Production Solutions for Electronics Industry segment, revenues were $55 million, flat with the prior year’s quarter.

Second quarter revenues for the semiconductor device business were $67.5 million, up 11.6% compared to the same quarter last year.

Flat panel display business revenues were $49.9 million, down 6.9% year-over-year.

For the third quarter 2016, Orbotech expects revenue between $200 million and $208 million.
