TORONTO – Firan Technology Group reported second quarter 2015 record sales of $18.8 million, up 22% year-over-year.

Net earnings before tax for the period ended May 29 was $1.14 million, up 68.3% compared to the same quarter last year.

Second quarter operating earnings were $2.2 million, up 63.4% year-over-year.

"The second quarter of 2015 saw record sales for FTG, with all sites participating in the growth," said Brad Bourne, president and CEO.
"In the quarter, we won another control panel assembly program and began work on it."

Circuits segment sales were up $1.8 million, or 15%, in the second quarter of 2015 versus the same quarter in 2014. On a year-to-date basis, Circuits sales were up $4.1 million, or 19%.

The Circuits segment net earnings before corporate and interest and other costs was $1.6 million, flat with the prior year quarter.
For the Aerospace segment, sales were $5 million in the second quarter, up 43% year-over-year.

Aerospace net earnings before corporate and interest and other costs was $200,000 versus a loss of $100,000 in the second quarter of 2014.

Year-to-date total sales for the firm were $35 million, up 19.3% year-over-year.

Year-to-date total net earnings before tax were $1.63 million, up 81% compared to the same period last year. Operating earnings were $3.75 million, up 57.9%.
