SAN CARLOS, CA -- Valence Surface Technologies has acquired the assets and operations of Flextronics' plant here metal finish company for an undisclosed amount.
The company said day-to-day business operations would continue as normal.
While the sale price was not announced, under terms of the deal Valence acquires the assets, approvals and permits as well as its entire employee base and management team, ensuring business continuity with no operational disruption.
The 30,000 sq. ft. site performs anodizing, plating and specialty surface modification for applications in the semiconductor, medical, aerospace and other high-tech industries. It is staffed by 60 workers.
The site has been renamed Valence San Carlos.
John "Tony" Garin, plant manager, said: "We are extremely excited to join Valence. The combination of our services with our new sister companies, such as CSL in Santa Clara, enables us to offer expanded capabilities and reduced supply chain costs to our combined customer base."
