MARLBOROUGH, MA – FabStream announced the availability of Accelerated Designs’ Digi-Key parts library.
ADI and FabStream worked together to develop an interface between ADI’s library development tools and SoloPCB schematic and PCB library applications.
The library contains 100,000 schematic and PCB symbols tied to Digi-Key part numbers and has parts from electronic device manufacturers such as Atmel, Altera, 3M, Intel, Linear Technology, Maxim, Molex, Panasonic and more.
Each part contains schematic symbol data, manufacturer’s attributes, packaging data and PCB footprint assignments for resistors, chips, connectors, fuses and other electronic devices.
The library integrates schematic symbols to their corresponding physical footprint to ease the flow between schematic capture and PCB layout and contains attributes for Bill of Materials creation and part ordering.
“The release of these libraries with our free SoloPCB Design software is a key element for our Do-It-Yourself electronics engineers,” said Rick Almeida, managing director of FabStream.
Both companies plan to extend the library offering with the introduction of additional libraries from other component providers in the coming months.
No financial terms were disclosed.
FabStream was developed by DownStream Technologies for printed circuit board design and manufacturing.
