In 2012 Via Mechanics, Ltd. acquired the engineering and manufacturing facilities and the complete product line from Hitachi Via Mechanics, Ltd. when Hitachi elected to exit that business. In the intervening five years Via Mechanics has upgraded the product line and introduced some new models.
