According to preliminary data, smartphone vendors shipped a total of 428.5 million units during the fourth quarter, resulting in 6.9% growth compared to the final quarter of 2015, according to International Data Corp. Moreover, 2017 should see stronger growth, spurred by a rebound in the emerging markets.
