ATLANTA – As demand for electronics and electronic components grows in 2021, it is anticipated supply chain pressure will build, says ECIA. Recent ECIA research and analysis has identified extending lead times for electronic components. However, specific component sectors will see greater challenges as the ability of suppliers to increase production is limited by capacity constraints.

MCLEAN, VA – December orders of manufacturing technology totaled $456.7 million, up 17.6% year-over-year and nearly 40% sequentially, according to The Association for Manufacturing Technology.

BOSTON – Strong demand for home computers, tablets and games consoles helped consumer electronic revenues reach $358.5 billion in 2020, an increase of 7% over 2019, according to Strategy Analytics.

ATLANTA – Following a typical slowdown in December, ECIA’s most recent survey reveals strong month-to-month growth in January for electronic component sales. The group expects even stronger performance in February.
