SAN JOSE — North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers reported 90-day moving average bookings slipped year-over-year in December, falling 1.1% to $1.37 billion worldwide.

Worldwide billings December were up 3.1 from a year ago to $1.39 billion.

Compared to the revised November numbers, sales were 17% percent higher and orders rose 12.3%.

 The book-to-bill ratio was 0.98, meaning that $98 worth of orders were received for every $100 of product billed for the month. The ratio was down 40 basis points from the revised November figure.

The SEMI book-to-bill is a ratio of three-month moving averages of worldwide bookings and billings for North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Billings and bookings figures are in millions of US dollars.
