DALLAS – China’s printed circuit board output will reach $48 billion by 2016, accounting for 49.4% of global PCBs, says RnRMarketResearch.com.
Besides holding the largest market share, China is also growing faster than other regions, says the firm. In 2012, there were at least 791 PCB fabricators in China, with an aggregate market exceeding $40.3 billion.
Emerging 3G mobile phones, automotive electronics, LCD, IPTV, digital TV, and computer replacement will aid in the increase of the PCB market. Currently, communications equipment, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and computers and related products are the major application markets, accounting for about 80% of total market demand, says the firm.
